Privacy Policy

GP Trainer is an educational training app for doctors preparing for the RCGP SCA. It is for fictional practice cases only. You must not enter real patient information.

This page is practical information about how GP Trainer handles data. It is not formal legal advice.

Who We Are

GP Trainer is currently operated as an educational training service. For privacy or data requests, contact ahmed@gptrainer.uk.

What We Collect

  • Account details such as your name, email address, password authentication data, and onboarding/profile information.
  • Practice content such as fictional consultation transcripts, AI feedback, scores, attempt history, colleague notes, and app usage needed to provide the training service.
  • Audio submitted for transcription. Audio is sent to Deepgram for transcription and is not intentionally stored by GP Trainer.
  • Billing records such as Stripe customer or subscription identifiers, plan, renewal status, cancellation status, and checkout events. Card details are handled by Stripe, not GP Trainer.
  • Technical and security data such as request metadata, operational logs, abuse-prevention signals, and error diagnostics through services such as Sentry.

How We Use Data

We use data to create and secure accounts, provide practice cases, transcribe recordings you submit, generate AI feedback, show history and progress, manage access and subscriptions, prevent abuse, diagnose service errors, and respond to support or deletion requests.

AI And Transcription Processing

GP Trainer may send relevant fictional practice content to the following processors as needed to provide the service:

  • Supabase: authentication, database, session cookies, and app infrastructure. GP Trainer is intended to use EU-hosted Supabase infrastructure.
  • Anthropic: AI examiner-style feedback on fictional consultation transcripts and relevant case context.
  • Deepgram: audio transcription for recordings you choose to submit.
  • Stripe: checkout, subscription, invoice, tax, and billing portal workflows.
  • Sentry: error monitoring, diagnostics, and service reliability telemetry. Session replay is disabled.

Do not enter real patient data. If real patient information is entered despite this instruction, it may be processed by these providers as part of providing the service.

Retention

Account data, profile data, attempt history, transcripts, feedback, scores, colleague notes, and billing status may be retained while your account remains active unless you request deletion and GP Trainer is able to comply. Audio recordings are processed for transcription and are not intentionally retained by GP Trainer.

Your UK GDPR Rights

  • Ask for access to personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to delete your account data where we are able to do so.
  • Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Ask for a portable copy of your personal data where that right applies.
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.
